Brittany Duncan, University of Nebraska - Talk Abstract

ABSTRACT: 

Over the past eight years, our team has worked with scientists in rainforest and arctic ecosystems to understand how they may use multi-domain robots to better investigate their ecological questions. Through multiple field deployments we have fielded systems, trained scientists in how to use robotic systems, and helped scientists answer their questions. Looking back on these experiences, we will discuss open challenges, next steps, and recommendations for roboticists seeking to engage with diverse stakeholders across a variety of environments.
